Preparation Instructions:
Floyd from Albert Lea Minnesota mailed us this Ume plum vinegar steak marinade recipe, and I must say it was excellent. For step one, please take out a mixing bowl. Add into your bowl the Ume plum vinegar, soy sauce, pure vegetable oil, freshly squeezed lime juice, raw honey, diced Vidalia onion, diced cilantro, coarse ground black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes. Whisk all of these appetizing marinade ingredients together until the liquid is completely mixed up. Moving along, next dip your little finger into the marinade, and do a quick taste test, making adjustments if necessary. For the last step, you should tightly seal the marinade, and then let it refrigerate for two to five hours, which will help blend the flavors together. Don't forget to set aside a little of this marinade to use as a grill basting sauce. You obviously don't want to baste with any marinade that has touched raw meat.
